He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sharkey and Annie Sharkey; his brothers, George and Freddy Sharkey; and his son Mark Christopher Sharkey.
He is survived by: his wife Isobel Sharkey (Toner); his children, John Sharkey, David Sharkey of Howell, Stephen Sharkey (Nicole) of Brick and Michele Estes (Jason) of Howell; his brother-in-law John Toner of California; his niece Sharon Toner of Florida; his siblings, Willy Sharkey of Scotland, Anne McKenna and Eileen Walsh of Scotland; and his grandchildren, Lauren (Jake), Colleen, Nicole, John, Jessica, Jacqueline, Isabella and Andrew.
