He is survived by: his wife Julie; his son Paul Koons of Howell; his granddaughter Crystal Koons of Howell; his son James of California; his grandchildren, Nathan, Roland and Nina; and his sisters, Carmella Bresnan of Arizona, Christina Leaman of Hazlet and Dorothy Torres of Freehold. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
