She was predeceased by: her husband John Sharkey; her son Mark Sharkey; and her parents, John Toner and Margaret Toner. She is survived by: her children, John Sharkey of Point Pleasant, David Sharkey of Howell, Stephen Sharkey (Nicole) of Brick and Michele Estes (Jason) of Howell; her siblings, John Toner (late Henrietta), Gerald Toner (Jean) of England and Rita Holding (Louie) of Freehold; and her grandchildren, Lauren (Jake), Colleen, Jessica, Jacqueline, Nicole, John, Isabella and Andrew.

Donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Foundation or to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
