He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Carpenter and Lee Carpenter; and his brother Howard Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Carpenter of Howell; his brother John Carpenter; his children, Amy Hornbeck (Chad Hornbeck), Carrie Brady (Patrick Brady), Tim Carpenter (Amy Carpenter) and Thomas Carpenter (Christina Carpenter); and his grandchildren, Hannah, Ava, Rowan, Patrick, Mary-Catherine, Connor, Jack, Rex, Charlotte, Theresa and John Thomas.
