He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt McAlinden and Ethel McAlinden; his siblings, Joseph, Merritt McAlinden, Ann Marie and Evelyn McAlinden; his former wife Fannie LaFlash McAlinden; his son Gerard McAlinden Jr.; and his former wife Hilary McAlinden.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Mason McAlinedn; his sister Elanoroa Kolbert; his children, Catherine Travagline and Joseph McAlinden; his close friend Jeff Bynum; his son Patrick McAlinden (Kim McAlinden); and his stepchildren, Linda Hartley (Alan Hartley) and Glen Rance. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many more dear family members.
