With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard E Owen Sr. of Hopewell Township, New Jersey, born in Rye, New York, who passed away on August 10, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell E. Owen and Mabel A. Owen (Ofeldt); his wife Irene Patricia Owen (Hlubik); his siblings, Robert, Janet and Russell, Jr.; and his son-in-law Matthew Epstein.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanette Epstein, Diane Owen Garber (John), Richard Owen, Jr. (Maureen) and Barbara Owen Gibbings (J. Ian); his grandchildren, Lindsey and Jessica Epstein; his children, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Jessica Garber, Carrie Garber Siegrist (Robert), Sean Owen, James Gibbings (Janet), Maura Owen O'Boyle, Bradley, Connor Owen and Alaina Barker; and his pet Mumba. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel-to-Towers Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Hopewell Presbyterian Church, or any charity of your choosing.
