He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Pitts and Pearl Brooks Pitts; his siblings, Willie B. Pitts, Milton Pitts, Austin Pitts, Robert Pitts, Charles Pitts, Mae Rosie Hudson, Annie Pearl Pitts, Viola Johnson, Mamie Hall, Helen Turman, Lucy Turman and Beatrice Wharton; his son Eddie Milton Pitts; and his grandchildren, Braheem Harris Pitts and Quasjee Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Ida Pitts; and his children, Annette Allen, Grace Pitts and Lewis Pitts of Bridgeton, NJ. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
