Dewitt is survived by: children, Jamie Peterson and Vickie Merolle; grandchildren, Emma Peterson, Tyler Peterson, Owen, Hazel, Anthony, Joseph, Zachary and Nathan Merolle; and siblings, Ralph Peterson (Cleo), LaRay McCarthy, Anna Barton, Terry Arnhold, Dennis Peterson and Debbie Kelly. Dewitt is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
