She is survived by: her mother Ida; her sister Lillian; her children, Jo-Ann Shakarjian, MD of River Vale and Andrew Steinberg (Joann Pezzano) of Chester, NJ; her grandchildren, Carnig, Rachael Shakarjian, Daniel, Annabelle Steinberg and Lillian Rosenthal of Massapequa, NY; her close friends, Barbara Pertchik of Oceanport, NJ, Judy Engel of Port Charlotte, FL and Arlene Rubin of Lido Beach, NY.; and her husband Sherman Steinberg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the JCC Manhattan, Special Needs Programs in tribute to May Steinberg.
