We are sad to announce that on December 30, 2020, at the age of 81, Elaine Everwijn Devito of Holmdel, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Luisa "Guita" Badaracco and Roeland Everwijn; her aunt Bertha; her sister Rita Everwijn; her husband Peter DeVito; her children, Gina M. DeVito (Brian Champeau) of Montclair, Mark (Magdalena DeVito) of San Diego, CA and Michael (Maria DeVito) of Secaucus; her half-siblings, Martha Brown and Ralph Brown; and her grandchildren, Emma, Aidan, Olivia, Joe, Matt, Nick and Daniella.

“My husband Allen Hirsh was assistant principal of Holmdel High School when Elaine was there. He always spoke very highly of Elaine and told me what a wonderful teacher she was. He was honored to call her his friend. Allen passed away on June 3rd. Holmdel lost two of the best. My heartfelt sorrow goes out to Elaine's family. Please know you're in my thoughts. Pam Hirsh”
