He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Gatlin and Helen Gatlin (Anderson); his wife Karen; his children, Elisabeth and Donald Jr. (Victoria); his granddaughter Julianna; his sister Gail Koestler; and his nieces, Karin Casole and Kristen Thompson. He was also cherished by great-nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
