She was predeceased by: her parents, Lt. Anthony T. Willens and Thelma Lorraine; her husband Robert Wharton; and her sister Florence "Nickie" Johnson. She is survived by: her sister Sue Giresi of Belmar, NJ; her children, Debra Wharton-Marcus of Laguna Niguel, CA, Robert Wharton Jr. (Michele) of Queen Creek, AZ and James Wharton (Kathy) of Lumberton, TX; her grandchildren, Ilana, Whitney, Cassandra, Charlotte, Dylan, Samantha, Robert Joseph, Alyssa Paige, Dana Noelle, Heather, Joseph and Danielle; and her great grandchildren, Amari Ryu, Ziya Stone, Caiden Jax, Hudson Rhys, Judah Day, Owen Rhett, Brooks Thomas, Remi Alexis, Jordan, Olivia, Theodore Hewitt, Deklan Hewitt, Emerie Eileen, Quinn, Gavin and Nico.
