She was predeceased by: her father Onofrio Messina; her husband Matthew Russo; her children, Patricia Bazzi (Nicky) and Vincent Russo; and her siblings, Martha Manobianco, Angelina Milat, Angelo Messina, Dominick Messina, Mario Messina, Morris Messina and Carlo Messina.
She is survived by: her mother Marta Messina; her siblings, Antionette Tormey and John Messina; her children, Martha Canonico (Blair), Elizabeth Petrosino (Anthony) and Matthew Russo (Tina); her daughter-in-law Camille Russo; and her grandchildren, Vincent Russo (Brianna), Alexis Bermudez (Alonso), Kristy Russo, Angela Russo, Peter Petrosino, Matt Petrosino (Chloe) and Anthony Petrosino Jr.. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Mary's memory.
