He was predeceased by: his father Emilio Montañez. He is survived by: his mother Mylta Montañez (Vega); his siblings, Samuel Melendez, Misael Montañez (Mich), Nathanael Montañez (Nat), Sandra Otero and Jeannette Rodriguez; his half-sisters, Emily James, Maribel Echevarria and Maleni Figueroa; his close friend Nancy Rivera; his grandchildren, Santiago, Valentina and Savannah Loayza; and also Stephanie Montañez (Christian). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Viewing was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jorge Rivera Funeral Home (4543 John Fitzgerald Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047).
