She was predeceased by: her husband Ben Alessi; her sister Alvina Potocki; and her parents-in-law, Ben Alessi, Sr. of Hoboken and Filippa. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Carfagno (Jerry Carfagno) and Michele; her grandchildren, Jerry Carfagno, Stephanie Carfagno Hollowell (Chuck), Jeffrey and Christina; her great grandchild Freya Hollowell; and her brother Walter Luers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She also had an adorable great-granddaughter named Freya Hollowell, who is 7 years old, whom she adored seeing regularly until Covid hit, and missed her terribly, but she did get to see many photos of Freya when Barbara visited.
