Samuel Kurus Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Kurus (Hillside, New Jersey), who passed away on February 7, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather Sam; his wife Marie; his daughter Carol Ann Kurus; his siblings, Michael, Peter, Paul, John, Nicholas, William, Kay Galuk, Mary Zawoysky, Anne Pettus and Stella Kurus; his grandson Brian; his son-in-law John Cava (JB); his children, Patti Cava, Maria Kurus, Samuel M. Kurus, Nicholas Kurus, Sr. (Deborah), Michael Kurus (Joyce) and William Kurus (BJ); his grandchildren, Stevi, Nicholas, Jr., Christopher, Rhiannon, Emma, Jessica, Joelle, Jonathan, Zadie and Beatrix; and his great grandchild Eve. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Samuel's name to a charity of your choice in his memory or to The Boy Scouts of America/ Patriots' Path Council, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927 and note "Winnebago Scout Reservation-Kurus" on the check.
