She was predeceased by: her parents, Madeline Smith and William Smith; her husband George H. MacDowell; and her daughter Meghan Hill. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brianna, Garrett, Sean and Kaleigh; and her great grandchild Liam.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church or The American Heart Association.
