He was predeceased by: his parents, Griffith Sponenberg and Vivian Shultz Hess; and his siblings, Carl Sponenberg and Ruth Ann Bower (Sponenberg). He is survived by: his wife Rosalie; his sons-in-law, Fred Mangino and Peter Shulack; his grandchildren, Peter Shulack, Kevin Shulack, Sam Mangino and Nina Mangino; and his brother-in-law Carl Bower of Berwick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
