He was predeceased by: his parents, Constantine Niedt and Katherine Niedt; his son Randy Niedt; and his sister Constance "Connie" Chester. He is survived by: his wife Bettye L. Niedt; his sons, Richard L. Niedt (Susan) and Robert A. Niedt (Linda); his daughter-in-law Roberta Niedt; his grandchildren, Benjamin (Julia), Bryan (Meghan), Joshua (Jessica), Bethany (Eric), Christopher, Alexandra, Keri (Matt) and Jamie Leigh (Christopher); and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Maddie, Randy, Ellie, Savannah, Riley, Kylie, James, Hailey, George and Ava.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cusick Funeral Home (80 Mountain Ave, Somerville, NJ 08876). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location.
