He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mitzen and Teresa Tomko Mitzen; and his niece Xzenia Mitzen. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Chambers; his daughters, Melissa Klotzbach (Jack Harkins) and Vanessa Bruno (Chris Bruno); his grandchildren, Morgan, Emma Klotzbach, Jack and Nicholas Bruno; his brothers, Robert Mitzen (Anna) and Michael Mitzen (Cynthia); and his niece Sarah Mitzen.

His knowledge, love and guidance was the foundation of his family.
