She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Barry and Ellen Barry; her husband Felice Elfo; her son J. Edward Elfo; and her siblings, Charles, Joseph, Howard, William, Mickey, Helen, James, Dolores and Michael.

She is survived by: her children, John Elfo of Hillsborough and Ellen Kazar of Hillsborough; her grandchildren, Daniel, Timothy Kazar, Christopher and Stacie Elfo; and her great grandchildren, Parker, Emme Kazar and Shea Elfo.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that has been near and dear to Joan for many, many years.
