She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Pizzano and Lena Pizzano of Brooklyn; her husbands, Charles Martorana and Vincent Balestire; and her siblings, Anthony Pizzano, Alexander Pizzano and Henrietta Rinaldi.
She is survived by: her sister Anna Cosentino; and her sister-in-law Theresa Pizzano. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jean can be made to American Heart Association or Wounded Warriors Project.
