He was predeceased by: his former wife Alvena Reynolds; and his son-in-law Joe Katula. He is survived by: his wife Judith Vanderhoof; his children, George Jr. (Angela), Ken (Kim), Denise Katula (John Maddocks) and Jeanette Danneberger (Matt); his stepchildren, Shawn McKinley and Lisa Conover (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Nicole, Michelle, Kevin, Allison, Kamryn, Zoe, Ethan, Aaron, Ian, Madelyn, Colin and Wells.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Princeton Hospice Care.
