He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Sgro and Veronica Sgro-Shehade (Nyers); his grandparents, Carmine, Elizabeth Sgro and Mary Nyers; his sister Toni Marie Sgro; and his brother-in-law Dale B. Capoccia.
He is survived by: his sisters, Cindy Capoccia (Stanley Homsher) of Hightstown and Mary Bowman (Robert) of Rock Hill, SC; his nephew RJ Bowman of Rock Hill, SC; his niece Jaclyn Bowman of Rock Hill, SC; and his stepfather Elie Shehade (Sandy Ferrebee) of East Brunswick.
