She was predeceased by: her son David Hughes (Robert Schalk); and her siblings, Patricia Nist and James McGrath. She is survived by: her children, Robin Hanak (Robert) of Westtown, NY, James Schalk of Highland Lakes, Kathleen Schalk of Long Beach, NY, Robert W. Schalk of Highland Lakes, Shannon Wirtheim (Howie) of Bellmore, NY and Michaela Grant (Christopher) of Farmingdale, NY.; and her granddaughters, Jennifer Hanak and Kaitlin Hanak.
