It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John C. Buonomo of Highland Lakes, New Jersey, who passed away on December 21, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominick Buonomo and Vita Buonomo (Orlando); and his son Daniel James Buonomo. He is survived by: his wife Paulette Mahoney (Bushman); his sons, John Buonomo (Jessica Ward), Michael Buonomo (Nicole) and James Mahoney (Erica); his grandchildren, Dominick, Christopher Buonomo, Erin, Avery, Scarlett, Holden Ward, Jack, Michael and Matthew Mahoney; and his siblings, Antoinette Acampora, Dominick Buonomo and Nancy Barci.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ferguson - Vernon Funeral Home (241 NJ-94, Vernon Township, NJ 07462). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales RC Church (614 Rt. 517, Vernon, NJ 07462).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Vernon Youth Football and Cheerleading (VYF&C, PO Box 824, Vernon, NJ 07462).
