He was predeceased by: his parents, James Murphy and Irma Murphy; and his brother John C. Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Aleta Harrison; his children, Taryn L. Burgett (Jeffrey) and Randall H. Murphy (Aimee); his grandchildren, Shauna and Brody Murphy; and his nieces, Leah Pindilli (Dion) and Pamela Williams (Larry).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Brick City Rescue.
