He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Briar and Josephine Briar Whitten (Anderson); 2 sisters, Nancy Joan Briar, Helen Cameron Findling (Briar), and his first wife Mary Sue Briar (Rinehart). He is survived by his siblings, Charles Briar (Barbara) of Ankeny, IA and Josephine Hunt (Briar) of Solon, IA.; his spouse Marisa L. Briar (Rossi); his children, Carol Briar Van Zandt (John David), John Briar (Barbara) of Pilesgrove, NJ and David Briar (Erin) of Tok, AK.; and his step-children, Reneé Picasso Anderson (John) and Paul Picasso of Whitehouse Station, NJ, as well as 16 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
