Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mindy Bowens (Helmetta, New Jersey), born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 51, on May 2, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Gordon and Frances Gordon; and her brother Dr. Bruce Gordon. She is survived by: her daughters, Kiera Barker (Jennifer) and Jennifer Bowens; her grandsons, Dawson Hipes, Jordan Preg and Caleb Decker; and her brothers, James Gordon (SoNam) and Marc Gordon (Sophia).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to support UW Medicine Merkel Cell Carcinoma research.

Betsy Gordon wrote a sympathy message

“I walk every day in the cemetery where Mindy is buried. The deer ate the live flowers the first day they were there. I went to a local florist and placed some pretty pink artificial ones on her grave. The deer have left them alone. I didn’t know Mindy, but paused and said a prayer when I saw them installing her headstone and how young she was. Hope she likes the new flowers. Betsy 908-227-1861”
