He was predeceased by: his father William Francis Whitaker; his son Ronald Whitaker; and his son-in-law Kevin Shea. He is survived by: his wife Maria Whitaker (Escobedo); his daughter Norma Shea; his grandchildren, Caroline Thompson (Mark), Patricia Howlett (Mike) and Gregory Shea; his great grandchildren, Emma Shea and Caleigh Sparks; his brother Daniel Whitaker of Lebanon; and his nephew James Siano of Little Rock, Arkansas..
