She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Vella and Catherine Vella (SanFilippo); her husband Anthony S. Tagliavia; and her daughter Joanne Whipple. She is survived by: her children, Maria S. Arnold and Joseph A. Tagliavia; and her grandchildren, Stephen Arnold (Maryam), Danielle Kavanagh (Sean), Christopher Arnold (Rebecca), Nicholas Tagliavia, Joseph Tagliavia Jr. (Jessica), Kristina Tagliavia and Jason Whipple. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
