He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Mera and Maria Mera (Dominguez); and his sisters, Gloria (Adolfo), Concepcion, Pilar and Benita.
He is survived by: his wife Salome Mera (Salgado); his children, Manny Mera (Karen), Ana Vilacha (Jose), Jose Mera (Rebecca) and Narciso Mera (Marianne); his grandchildren, Michael (Amy), Daniel (Jay), Lisa (Alex), Andrew, Natalie (Tyler), Paul, Monica and Drew; his stepgrandchildren, Patrick and Elizabeth; his great grandchildren, Owen and Madison; and his brother-in-law Camilo Salgado. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
