He was predeceased by: his parents, Leokadya Mashas (Kleynowski) and Frank Mashas; his son Scott Mashas; and his siblings, Frank Mashas and Mary Siano.
He is survived by: his former wife Geraldine Tomchek; his son Craig Mashas; his grandchildren, Nicole Johnson (Jordan) and Brittney Mashas; his great grandchild Audri Johnson; and also Brian Shanley.
