Sophie (Mosiewicz) Barnes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2023, at the age of 104, Sophie Barnes of Hawthorne, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Emmett E. Barnes, her son Emmett G. Barnes, daughter-in-law Audrey Barnes, and son-in-law Alfred Spiro; her parents, John Mosiewicz and Constance Mosiewicz, her step-father John Lessuck; and her siblings, Walter, Jules, Alexander, George and Jane.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Barnes, MD and Roger Dorband, and Carolyn Spiro; her grandchildren, Joyce Barnes, and Darron Burke, Lorraine Barnes and Sarah Eversole, and Christopher Spiro; her great grandchild Jack Barnes-Eversole. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, godchildren, and cousins.
