She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Stephen Retkwa; her children, Mary Ann Mahometa (late Michael) of Hawthorne and Stephen Retkwa (Lori) of Hawthorne; her grandchildren, Michael Mahometa (Lori), Christopher Retkwa (Joanne) and Katherine Gibbons (Jayson); her great grandchildren, Charles, Kellyanne, Julianna, Gabrielle, Evelyn and Haleigh; her nephew John Lubyck (Bernadette); and her brother John Lubyck.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home (557 Lafayette Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Ukrainiun Catholic Church (217 President St, Passaic, NJ 07055). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (58 McLean Blvd, Paterson, NJ 07513).
