She was loved and cherished by many people including : her sons, Richard Scanlon (Elena) of Oakland and Brian Scanlon (Karen) of Waldwick; her grandchildren, Richard Scanlon, II, Nicholas Scanlon, Maria Scanlon, Kayla Scanlon and Keith Scanlon; and her siblings, Emily Rainey (Paul) and Michael Bariso (Mary Ann Bariso). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home (557 Lafayette Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Anthony's R. C. Church (276 Diamond Bridge Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery (22-21 Maple Ave, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410).
