He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Grimke and Anne Grimke; and his brother John Grimke. He is survived by: his wife Helen Grimke; his children, Jon Grimke (Daniel DeBerto) and Thomas J. Grimke, Jr. (Samantha); his siblings, Marianne Diekmann (Richard), Michael Grimke (Felicia) and Mildred Carroll (Raymond); his brother-in-law Ernest LaSalle (late Margaret); and his grandchildren, Amelia, Carmen and Logan. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
