With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Adelina Barrero of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 31, 2025 at the age of 90. As Adelina departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Adelina may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Adelina leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elcira Portela and Roberto Portela; and her husband George Barrero. She is survived by: her sons, Arnold Barrero (Martha), Edgar Barrero (Noemi) and Gary Barrero; her siblings, Roberto Portela and Maria Mercedes Obernauer; and her grandchildren, Tyler, Emily and Ryan.
