He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann Kennel; his parents, Charles Kennel and Suzanne Kennel; his brothers, Charles and William Kennel; his nephews, Steven O'Grady and John O'Grady III; and his niece Margaret Calero.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, William Heutele, Joan Sloezen (Raul), Rosemary Kaufman, Patricia Maderro (Jose), Michael O'Grady, James Kennel and Suzanne Nobile.
