He is survived by: his wife Mayra Bremer Nieves; his children, Tatiani Nieves (Alberto Cardoso), Clichiman Nieves, Ruvian Nieves and Jahira Sigismondi (Michael); his grandchildren, Nelson Lima, Carolina Caetano and Michael Sigismondi; his sister Katia Rocha; and his pets, Amber and Julie.
