She was predeceased by: her husband Evaristo Alves; and her granddaughter Marlene Pereira Alves. She is survived by: her children, Maria Afonso, Deolinda Alves and Fernando Alves; her siblings, Augusta Gomes and Julio Gomes; and her grandchildren, Susan Parenti, Angela Afonso, Nelson Alves and Irene Alves. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
