He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Fitzgerald and Ellen Fitzgerald; and his wife Rosaleen. He is survived by: his siblings, Ned Fitzgerald, Maive, Peg and Kathleen; his children, Catherine Fitzgerald (Kevin Tobias), Geraldine Buratti (Paul Buratti), John Fitzgerald (Alicia Fitzgerald), Brian Fitzgerald (Laura Fitzgerald) and Deirdre Fitzgerald (Gregg Fein); his grandchildren, Pamela Decker, Jacqueline Cid-Paz, Michael Longobardi, Katie Buratti, Nico Longobardi, Enrico Longobardi, Paul Oliver Buratti, John Fitzgerald, Megan Fliegel, Lucas Buratti, Jenna Fitzgerald, Kenneth Fliegel, Matthew Fitzgerald and Samantha Fitzgerald; his great grandchildren, Cecilia Decker, Jolene Decker and Luciana Cid-Paz; his sister Siobhan Cussen; and his in-laws, Kathleen, Daniel Clavin, Maura, John Murray and Margaret. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home (120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ 07647). A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victories Church in Harrington Park (150 Harriot Ave, Harrington Park, NJ 07640).
