With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Joan Hockenbury of Hampton, New Jersey, who passed away on January 26, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Ruth Joan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ruth Joan's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Rounsaville and Georgina Rounsaville; and her brothers, Fred Rounsaville and Theodore "Rich" Rounsaville. She is survived by: her husband Bernard Hockenbury (NJ); her children, Roger Hockenbury (Hilee), Warren Hockenbury (Donna) and Brenda Hockenbury; and her siblings, June "Dolly" Fritsche (Fred), George Rounsaville (Betty) and Jim Rounsaville (Pam). She is also survived by 4 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers it is the request of the family that donations be made to the Church of God International Community at PO Box 91150, Pasadena, California 91109.
