He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa J. Ballin; his parents, Mark Ballin and Frances Ballin; his sons, Charles Ballin Jr. and Robert Littleton; and his brothers, Thomas, James and Andrew Ballin.

He is survived by: his children, Christopher Ballin (Regina), Linda Lyons and Stephen Ballin (Kathy); his grandchildren, Gabrielle and Christopher Ballin; and his close friend Debra Hannah. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus, North American Martyrs Council #8718 C/O Our Lady of the Lakes Church 19 Malaga Rd, Williamstown, NJ 08094.
