It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Costa of Hammonton, New Jersey, who passed away on June 30, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Costa and Marie Costa; and his brother Thomas H. Costa. He is survived by: his sister Marie A. Costa of Hammonton; and his close friend Gary Kuskulis of Deptford.

“My husband, Stephen (Steve) Axelrath (1943-2016) was a friend to Benny when they both lived in Hammonton and Steve maintained contact until shortly before his own death in 2016. We last saw Benny at the time of the Hammonton High School Class of 1961 55th Reunion in the Fall of 2016, meeting him at a restaurant. I wanted you to know of Steve’s lifelong fondness for Benny and I send my own condolences to his surviving family and friends. Sincerely, Ellen Silon, Steve’s wife, Colorado”
