He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Benson and Andrew Kerwin; and his siblings, Mary Ellen Konek, Andy Kerwin and Joyce Kerwin Fratatuno.

He is survived by: his daughter Belinda Fernandez; and his sisters, Julie Thomas (Bob) of Columbus, NJ, Karen DeFlaminis of Ewing, NJ, Eva Kerwin of Salisbury, MD and Annette Russell (Bill) of Brooksville, FL.. He is also survived by her sons as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
