He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. and Stella (Mieszkowski); and his wife Carole Brodel (Downing). He is survived by: his children, Erin Brodel of Hamilton, Steven Brodel of Lawrence and Greg Brodel of Hamilton; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Grace Brodel and Gavin Wyatt Brodel; and his daughter-in-law Denise Brodel (DeGroat).
