He was predeceased by: his parents, James Flynn and Sarah Flynn (Hoy); his daughter Betty Ann McClure; his grandson Richard E. Bruno, Jr.; and his siblings, Dick, Hank, Jim, Pete, Joe, Peg, Ann and Ellen.

He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Flynn (Spair); his children, Eugene P. Flynn, Jr. (Gene), Sharon and Patricia Leech (Dave); his siblings-in-law, Nancy and Frank Pagano; his niece Nicole; his grandchildren, Jimmy, Jude, Kellyann, David and Crista; and his siblings, Jerry Flynn and Kathleen Flynn. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
