With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen Martakis (Hamilton Township, New Jersey), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on November 14, 2019 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustave Ivanoff and Lillian McCarthy; and her husband Steve Martakis. She is survived by: her children, John Martakis (Lori), Catherine (Peter Gromitsaris) and Gustave Martakis; her grandchildren, John Martakis, Constantinos, Demetrios and Stratos Gromitsaris; and her siblings, Kathy Martone, Patricia Paravalos and Cornelius McCarthy (Migdalia "Mickey"). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
