Joseph Edward Mobus Obituary
Joseph Edward Mobus (75) of Hamburg, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Joe was born on December 28, 1947, in Plainfield, NJ to the late Jean (Ward) and George E. Mobus. He graduated from Plainfield High School and continued his education at Drexel University. Joe was an integral part of United Parcel Service’s systems management and analytical teams for over 30 years before he retired.
Joe is survived and sorely missed by his loving wife, Kathy (Kirkpatrick) Mobus; son David E. Mobus of Goshen, NY; daughter Lisa and her husband Joseph Zaro and their children (his “grandbabies”), Joseph & Anthony, of Monroe, NY; sisters Mary Lowenheim (San Diego, CA) and Nancy Hunter (Bel Aire, KS), niece Michelle Pisack (South Plainfield, NJ) and grandnephew Scott Burdash (Parlin, NJ); and his canine kid, “Budster” Buddy.
A memorial visitation will be held on October 27, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:00 p.m. followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Warwick Humane Society or American Heart Association.
